hey folks!
thought i’d chime in here and give a little update on the 8th ayoroyoko album, ‘Shadowlands.’ Things are at the these-are-the-twelve-or-songs stage (although in truth, there’s 16 tracks currently) and I’ve been going through and getting mixes of the music together while trying to give everything a song title I like.
This is usually about the stage where I also start writing out the lyrics where they’re needed. This is the part that really just comes together in its own time and way. Mostly I just sit in front of the mic recording whatever pops into my head while trying to find the melody. Sometimes this is easy and a whole song comes together in an afternoon, other times the song changes form over and over and over until I find the right words.
At any rate, I expect I’ll be wrapping things up in December and hoping for an early 2026 release.
